# Out of Service

> Periods where a vehicle was unavailable.

Periods where a vehicle was not available for service, and the fleet availability that
follows from them.

## Tabs

| **Fleet Availability** *(default)* | Availability over time as a line chart. Headline figure: availability percentage |

The chart offers a **week / month / quarter** cadence toggle.

The distinction between planned and unplanned matters beyond this page: **unplanned repairs
are what the reliability metrics count as failures** on
[Strategic KPI](/pages/strategic-kpi), where they drive MDBF and mean time to repair.
