Defects are reported on a separate app, A7 Reporter, rather than in the main web application. The reporter describes the fault in their own words and an AI assistant turns it into a complete defect report, asking for what is missing. It is a progressive web app served at /report/. It can be installed from the browser or used in any browser tab. It has no offline mode: every message goes to the server, so it needs a connection. Its default language is Swedish. The language is switched in Settings, and a report keeps the language it was started in.

Access

Sign-in is the same as on the inspector app: email and password, or Sign in with Microsoft, then choose a project. Reporting requires the Defect Reporter role in the selected project; a Project Admin or superuser also passes. Anyone else sees a “No reporting access” screen.

The screens

A new report cannot be started until the project has at least one severity code configured.

The conversation

The assistant opens by asking what was observed on the chosen vehicle. The reporter can tell everything at once; the assistant saves what it can extract and asks only for what is still missing, one question per turn. Where a field has a fixed set of values it offers them as tappable choices instead of asking for free text. Every field on the sheet can also be edited directly. A direct edit is recorded in the conversation, and the assistant treats it as fact. What the assistant collects, and the order it works in, is described under How the assistant interviews.

Report status

After submitting

  • A submitted report is read-only. Only a draft can be edited or deleted. A change to a submitted report is a new report.
A draft with no activity for 30 days is archived and disappears from the list.
